7A04 aluminum block

Last Updated :2023/06/13
Introduction of 7A04 aluminum block
7A04 aluminum alloy belongs to the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series of ultra-high-strength aluminum alloys. It is a more commonly used super-duralumin. It is an alloy that wants to be mature in super-duralumin. It is an alloy that has been used for a long time and is wider. It has high strength and heat treatment. It has good strengthening effect and is an aluminum alloy type.

Characteristics of 7A04 aluminum block:
7A04 aluminum block is a more commonly used super hard aluminum, a high-strength alloy, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It is usually used in the quenched artificial aging state. At this time, the strength is much higher than that of general duralumin, but the plasticity is lower; the extruded semi-finished products and aluminum clad plates with not too thick section have good corrosion resistance and tend to stress concentration. Spot welding has good weldability and poor gas welding. The machinability is good after heat treatment and low in annealed state.
7A04 aluminum block belongs to the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series of ultra-high-strength aluminum alloys, also known as super-duralumin, which is quite mature in super-duralumin. It is an alloy that has been used for a long time and is more widely used. High strength, good heat treatment strengthening effect, moderate plasticity in annealing and newly quenched states; different from duralumin, the corrosion resistance in artificial aging state is better than that in natural aging state, and the natural aging process is slow, and it needs to go through 3 The age hardening peak can only be reached after months, so 7A04 is used in the quenched artificial aging state. The disadvantage is that the stability of the organization is not high, the low frequency fatigue strength is low, and there is a tendency to stress corrosion cracking. Alloy spot welding has good weldability, poor gas welding, good machinability after heat treatment, but poor machinability after annealing.
